No. Only patients with consultations paid for by Workmen’s Compensation (IOD) require this.
Any x-rays, scans and tests relevant to your visit. The referral letter if you have one. If injured on duty please bring a copy of your ID, Employers report of an Accident and doctors referral note.
Yes. We usually custom mold thermoplastic splints, or you may be fitted with one of our ready-made orthoses which we stock. To ensure your splint is suitable, our therapists need to formally assess your condition. During the consultation, we will give you education and exercises to further assist you in your recovery.
Wendy Young is now living in Hawaii, USA, and Vicki Hofmann, who worked with Wendy for more than 10 years, has taken over as principal therapist. The practice name has not changed, but almost all doctors are aware that Vicki is now the owner. They are also aware that you may be seen by any one of the therapists in the practice.
Every medical aid cover is different. Most do cover occupational therapy to some extent. Please enquire directly with your medical aid. We request patients pay us after each visit and submit the account and receipt to medical aid for a refund.
