Success Stories

Noel Smith is a mechanical engineer by trade, and a passionate photographer and artist living in Durban. In 2016, he was involved in a surfing accident that left him an incomplete quadriplegic. 

Following his accident, Noel was faced with the fear of never being able to paint again. Over time, however, with the help of extensive rehabilitation, the use of a hand splint and learning to draw left handed he finds himself once more able to continue his life long passion. 

We have had the privilege of walking this journey with Noel, since the time he was in hospital following his accident. He specialises in oils on canvas but since his accident Noel has begun to work in pastels. Pictured below is his latest piece – absolutely incredible!
